Breath North Dakota

Breathe North Dakota
The North Dakota Center for Tobacco Prevention and Control Policy, also known as BreatheND, became funded in 2008 when North Dakota voters passed an initiated measure requiring a portion of the funds the state receives from tobacco settlement dollars to be used for tobacco prevention and control programs. North Dakota’s comprehensive tobacco prevention goals are to significantly reduce tobacco use and its health and economic consequences by using policies and programs proven to keep kids from starting to use tobacco, help tobacco users quit, and protect everyone from secondhand smoke. The state’s comprehensive tobacco prevention plan, Saving Lives, Saving Money, is based on proven best practices established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
